HGST End-User Harvard Clean Energy Project to Present “Big Data Maps to Renewable Energy"

SANTA CLARA, Calif., O’Reilly Strata Conference (Booth #1100) – February 11, 2014 – Enterprise storage leader HGST, a Western Digital company (NASDAQ: WDC), today announced that at the O’Reilly Strata Conference (@strataconf) the company will demonstrate how its high-performance solid state drives (SSDs) and enterprise-class hard disk drives (HDDs) are helping data centers manage explosive petabyte (PB) growth while balancing the right mix of performance, capacity and power to efficiently scale. Additionally, HGST end-user, Kai Trepte, lead software engineer for the Harvard Clean Energy Project, will lead a special session titled “Big Data Maps to Renewable Energy.”
