Sr. V.P., Consumer and Commercial Business Group

R.C. (Clint) Dyer works in Japan and responsible for the Consumer and Commercial (Mobile, Desktop and Automotive/iVDR) HDD Business Group. This C&C Business Group is responsible for development, production engineering, quality, supplier engineering, customer technical support, manufacturing and financial controller functions. Mr. Dyer is also responsible for Hitachi GST’s overall supply chain operations functions, including inventory management, capital management, logistics and warranty operations.

Prior to this position in Hitachi GST, Mr. Dyer also held positions of vice president of Supply Chain Operations as well as senior vice president of Worldwide Manufacturing and Supply Chain.

Before joining Hitachi, Mr. Dyer spent more than 25 years working for IBM in positions of increasing responsibility in industrial engineering, cost engineering, quality, materials planning and worldwide inventory management for the Storage Technology Division. He spent the past 10 years in Fujisawa, Japan leading the HDD materials operations, including procurement.

Mr. Dyer holds Master degrees in Business Administration from Golden Gate University and System Engineering from San Jose State University. He completed his undergraduate studies in mechanical engineering at Oregon State University.
