Chief Executive Officer

Hiroaki Nakanishi is Chief Executive Officer of Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, headquartered in San Jose, California.

Mr. Nakanishi has a long and distinguished career in Hitachi. Prior to his present position, Mr. Nakanishi was EVP and Executive Officer, general manager, Global Business, Hitachi, Ltd. He has served in a variety of increasingly responsible senior management positions at both headquarters and in the Information and Telecommunications Systems Group during his distinguished long career with Hitachi. He joined the company in April 1970 as an engineer in the Computer Control Design Department at Omika Works.

Mr. Nakanishi holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Tokyo University and an M.S. degree in computer engineering from Stanford University.
